You can support any type of one-time or recurring product or service with Connect:SM for Cloud Commerce, including virtual goods, physical goods (with or without inventory management), resale goods, and a host of miscellaneous charges and fees.

Product and service availability is parameter driven and can be limited by options such as geography, dates, durations or ranges, territories, customer type, reseller, or product/service dependancy. Definitions can range from simple single line items to complex multiple level line items with different rules and taxation parameters.

Personalizing subscription offers to attract different markets and types of customers, as well as creating and managing up-sell and cross-sell sales strategies is made easy with these effective and powerful tools.

Packaging enables complex product and service definitions that associate multiple products and services as a single sale item to attract sales in specific geographies, market segments, or to certain types of buyers. Bundles extend the packaging concept further by enabling you to offer special pricing based on specific bundles of products and/or packages.

Inventory Control

The optional integrated Inventory Control module supports serialized goods, as well as physical and virtual goods. It provides for multiple inventory locations and tracks movement. All features are seamlessly available at appropriate points throughout Connect:SM for Cloud Commerce. Capabilities include manufacturer and model tracking, write-offs, revenue and GL account assignment, warranty information, returns, exchanges, transfers, product history tracking, location tracking, and support for selling, renting or leasing, as well as taking deposits or providing insurance or maintenance plans.

Domestic and International Taxation Support

All of the different types of taxes can be supported in Connect:SM for Cloud Commerce. Optional support is available for integration with the leading tax software solutions and services.

Up to 8 levels of taxation can be associated with an individual line item. Support is provided for any location or jurisdiction, including support for European VAT, GST, and other types of international taxes and fees. Taxes are automatically entered on invoices and multiple taxes and fees can be displayed on a single invoice.

Product Catalog Integration

Integration options are available for several areas around the product catalog such as working with shopping carts, standalone provisioning systems, taxation software and services, standalone inventory management systems, CRM systems, financial systems and many others. Connect:SM for Cloud Commerce provides web services based APIs for communicating with these external systems.
